East
Yorkshire County has eight Ranger Units with a total of 72 Rangers,
aged between 14 and 26. Rangers are self-governing and each unit
decides its own activities from within the general structure of
the overall Guiding programme. These usually include the Look
Wider programme, recently revised and updated, and many Rangers
also work towards the Duke of edinburgh's Award scheme. The highest
award in Guiding, the Queen's Guide, is the ultimate goal.
